Projects

For various events ranging from gallery openings to festivals, the FahrBar ArtBar has presented various projects were developed for it, which  focused on the output of a diverse range of creatives from Switzerland. These projects were designed or adapted to experienced directly at the FahrBar ArtBar and each of the projects was integrated into the FahrBar in a way that comes natural to the constructions and accessible to anyone at the bar, Clearly, the FahrBar ArtBar makes it possible to add a sense of aesthetics to events and on tours of public artworks  spread throughout the city and can do so in VIP mode, where art could be consumed in style and where motivation to participate was driven by attractively that made it easy to market the tours offered.

The “Mundrock in 360” Project

Fig. 2. The QR codes that were used to decorate the FahrBar ArtBar and which could be
used to gain access to and view all of the Mundrock 360 Project that were made available
at the bar.

The MundRock 360 project  in combination with the FahrBar ArtBar offered visitors  a new kind of experience. The project simply consisted of two graphic banners containing a set of four QR codes, which linked to individual music videos each featuring a pop music from Switzerland.  The  groups sing in a mix of languages and some  of them in Swiss German, but when listening to the set from start to finish, the project culturally unites the diverse language regions of Switzerland and leaves the impression behind that Swiss is fab.

The QR banner is integrated into the bar area of the FahrBar ArtBar and makes scanning in the QR Code to view the videos almost as equal as lifting a glass to drink. The time spent at the FahrBar between ordering a drink and consuming opens up a so called “creative void” during which one is tempted to turn to scan in and experience Swiss Pop in 360 degree music videos. Google cardboards are offered for those who want to experience the videos with a bit more depth, and for those who seek a deeper immersive experience all of the videos are available for viewing over an Oculus Go VR Headgear set. In this manner, the people who have a variety of interest can view the music videos either over their own phones (for the slightly curious), by using a Google Cardboard (for those who want to go more native), and by using the Oculus set up (for those who want true digital native experience).

The “Shots in the Dark” Projekt

Although the FahrBar ArtBar project is primarily a presentation platform for new arts but it is also mobile bar, providing necessary services to visitors who are present at he various projects. The project "Shots in the Dark" was offered by the FahrBar ArtBar Team as a performative event involving action based drinks, or better said drinks that unfold in front of the viewer as an artwork. Building up on the previous mixing adventures with diverse drink designers at their places of mixings, the FahrBar ArtBar offered a drink list based on artworks from the classic modern to the present day so that a drink were transformed into conceptual (but tasty)  artworks,  For this project, drinks recipes were drawn from classic works such as Warhol’s Piss Paintings, Duchamp’s Pharmacy, s Malevich’s Black Cross, and diverse paintings from Pollack from his drip period.  Drinks that were created based on more recent creations by Swiss artist Roman Signer: the “Runder Raum” (swirled limoncello and  white vermouth) and the “Milchstrasse” (powdered coal, white rum, blown sugar crystals) from Roman Signer.
